Theme #1 – All about me

It’s important to value ourselves as individuals and be familiar with our bodies, interests and identities. Children will build models that help them identify with all of these personal element. They will practice letter recognition, size comparison, shape and color identification, counting, placement vocabulary and patterning.

Date of Classes: 8th January – 12th February

Theme #2 – Famous Places

Join us on an imaginary trip around the world to some amazing places! Travel to Egypt to see the massive Pyramids. Learn about and build tall towers reaching to the sky. Find out what happens when a volcano erupts. Children will develop an understanding of different people, structures and places around he world. They will practice letter recognition, size comparison, shape and color identification, counting, placement vocabulary and patterning.

Theme #3 – Fun at the farm

Cock a doodle doo! Children will feel like farmers as they learn about a few animals that are found on farms around the world. these are not only the typical barn animals we associate with farms. For instance, did you know that yaks are related to cows, and they are used on farms in some countries fr the same purposes that cows are used o farms in America? Children will learn how each animal plays an important role on a farm. Letter recognition, size comparison, shape and color identification, counting, placement vocabulary and patterning will all be part of this Fun at the Farm preschool unit!

Theme #4 – In out up down

It seems our world is constantly busy and in motion. We may be popping open an umbrella as the rain starts falling down, watching a tree grow up tall over time, or listening to bats dart around in the sky. Whatever we do, something is always going in, out, up or down in the world around us. Children will learn about and build a few things that demonstrate in, out , up or down. They will practice letter recognition, size comparison, shape and color identification, counting, placement vocabulary and patterning.

Theme #5 – Old West

Howdy partners! Let’s learn about the Old West! Ride along on our adventure blast to the past, set in the old western region of our country. Crawl out of your teepees and saddle up your horses as we build symbols of the Old West such as cactus, cowboy hat and more using LEGO® Duplo® bricks. This fun-filled unit helps children develop fine motor skills and learn the exciting history of the Old West, while building, singing and playing. Giddy up and yee-haw!

Theme #6 – Things around the house

Home sweet home! What is happening around the house? Whether you’re using the key to open the front door, turning on the lamp to cozy up and read a book, or checking for mail in the mailbox, there is almost always something to be done at home. Children will learn how various items are used around the house. They will practice letter recognition, size comparison, shape and color identification, counting, placement vocabulary and patterning

Theme #7 – What’s that sound

What’s that sound? Sometimes we hear things before we see them There are so many different sounds some different things make No one was around to hear the sounds dinosaurs made, but you can guess what they may have sounded like? They will practice letter recognition, size comparison, shape and color identification, counting, placement vocabulary and patterning.

Theme #8 – Work Vehicle

Vroom vroom! Let’s get to work! Children will love our exciting classes all about our work vehicles and the people who operate them. Build a fire truck to rush to the rescue, a tractor to plow the fields, a bulldozer to push the soil at the construction site and more! Children will practice using fine motor skills and make new friends, all while learning and playing. Build, sing and laugh along with us as we drive (and fly!) through the world of work vehicles!

Date of classes: October – November

Theme #9 – In the Jungle

In the Jungle, the mighty jungle, the lion sleeps tonight! Children will go wild for this fun-filled jungle unit. Build a slithering snake, leaping lion, mischievous monkey and more. Learning will expand leaps and bounds as we build, sing songs and learn fun facts about jungle animals. Creativity and excitement will overflow as children use their imaginations during creative build time. Take on the challenge to create a color pattern as part of building. Hop along with us on our jungle adventure… but don’t let your frog hop away!
